Calling all farmers. Come along to our AgTech Shoecase Day and meet three tech founders who are innovating in the agriculture sector:

  • FARM ROBOTS - Cameron Leeson, founder of thingc robotics will bring a farming robot that is powered by artificial intelligence. He is currently doing farm trials in our region "weeding" organic vegetables yet the robot can be customised to any form of agriculture that is in rows (horticulture, orchards, vineyards) and can be weeding, spraying…

  • FERAL ANIMAL CONTROL - Supriya & Jay, the founders of Out of Box Solutions are building an intelligent solution ‘Alfie’ for agriculture and conservation industries. Alfie is capable of recognising species of animals using ‘computer vision’ to identify feral and native animals. Alfie can help to selectively control feral animals or capture endangered native animals for conservation. It can send alerts using low bandwidth technology based on internet of things (IoT) available in remote areas.

They are looking for interested farmers/local councils/researchers and supporting businesses to participate in product trials and provide them with valuable feedback as they work towards getting the product/s ready for market.

  • WINE FRAUD TECHNOLOGY - Woorinen born and bred, Wes Ward is the founder of Trusted Food Group which has developed wine fraud technology to protect Australian wine exporters from falling victim to counterfeiters in China!

Founders will demonstrate their innovations on the day, and this free event will conclude with drinks and finger food.

We will continue to add more events and speakers to this event.
